Travel Baseball Overview
Spring/Summer travel baseball commitment:

- Spring season: Typically USABL play (sometimes varies by age level); the commitment is one game day per week (typically Sundays with some flexibility between coaches) and one practice.
- This year, the season opening day was 4/7 and guaranteed 9 regular season games + 1 guaranteed playoff game (all teams make the playoffs; single elimination).

- Typically one double header per season
- Ripken districts: Maroon teams will play in the Ripken district tournament, we are District 12 (Cranford, Scotch Plains, Milburn, Berkley Hights, Westfield, etc.)
- Timing is different each year in each age group but generally ~4 game pool play mid/late June, lasting ~2 weeks
- Typically two teams from each age group advance to states
- Summer season: New Providence Green League (NPGL) which kicks off mid June and runs through mid/late July.
- Typically weeknights only
- One practice per week, 2-3 games per week.

- 10 game season and postseason tournament for all teams that play a minimum of 8 games.
Fall travel baseball commitment:
- Fall tryouts are June 4 this year and teams will be communicated after the Spring/Summer season around the end of July.
- Since Fall is not “baseball season”, there are typically larger teams knowing various other sports are in season

- Practices are also once a week and one game day per week, also USABL play (typically Saturdays).
- Expect the unexpected with NJ fall weather

- The season kicks off right after Labor Day, with 9 regular season games and 1 guaranteed playoff game.
